It's Holiday Card season! (We are a few weeks behind, of course!) Today, we received mail addressed to:

I love mail, and I'll take it any way it comes! I love to see the different versions, and of course, Aimee & George Ellis is my favorite. I told George to take my last name after we got married. Alas, only one of these is actually correct. Since I am giving finals this week, it's a great multiple choice question, and I've already eliminated one of the options for you.

Day 2 of Married Life

So far, so good! We had a wonderful wedding, and were lucky to have beautiful weather the entire weekend. We so appreciate the kind wishes and support of our family and friends who shared the day with us in fact or spirit.

Ceremony Music

Some of the IC Music students will be playing during the ceremony. I am so excited about this! Listening to the arrangements online as I make my final selections is bringing tears to my eyes!

Book Sale

The Friends of the Library fall booksale will have its first weekend of sales the weekend of the wedding. It's a great place to get books for cheap...but the lines are long. It might be a fun activity, though.

FYI: It's Not a Reception

George made picante sauce (from scratch!) today and said he was going to put it out for "the party." I asked him if he meant the wedding reception. He wants us to call it a "party" because he doesn't like all the traditional aspects of the wedding day. So don't call it a reception when he is around!

October Weather in Ithaca

I am notoriously bad at translating temperatures into appropriate clothing choices, but hopefully this will help out-of-town guests pack!

One Down

Well, I still have no idea what I'm wearing for the wedding ceremony, but I did order a shirt for Walter from Ruff Ruff and Meow (dog not included - too bad!)!

No Room at the Inn

My grandma tried to make her hotel reservations earlier in the week and found that many hotels had limited availability for the weekend of our wedding. If you are coming in from out of town, please try to make your lodging reservations soon! Unfortunately, all our guest rooms are spoken for.
